Purpose: The stated purpose
of this association shall be "to cultivate, promote and sustain the art and science of
dental hygiene; to represent and safeguard the common interest of the members of the dental hygiene profession."
Mission: The mission of this association shall be to contribute toward the improvement of the public's total health by
increasing awareness of and access to quality oral health care.
Membership: The membership of this Association is composed of members of the American Dental Hygienists' Association
who are licensed and either practicing or residing in Louisiana, together with such other
members as are authorized in the Bylaws of this Association.
